Manhattan Beach, CA - April 15, 2026 - Pearl Abyss today announced that its open-world action-adventure title, Crimson Desert, has surpassed 5 million copies sold worldwide, marking a significant milestone for the company and further solidifying its position as a global leader in game development.

Crimson Desert has been widely praised by both critics and players for its stunning visuals powered by Pearl Abyss’ proprietary BlackSpace Engine, its richly detailed open world, and its dynamic, immersive combat system.

And thanks to strong player engagement, with a peak of 276,261 concurrent players on Steam since release, Pearl Abyss has unveiled a preview of upcoming updates that address player feedback and include further improvements. These include expanded challenges, gameplay refinements and system enhancements scheduled from April through June, aimed at enhancing the overall player experience.
